The Great Barrier Reef offers students a chance to step into a living classroom and explore one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth.
The Queensland’s Government’s Great Barrier Reef Education Experience Program supports schools and registered home school students to take part in curriculum-aligned excursions within the World Heritage Area. These experiences help students connect classroom learning with real-world discovery while deepening their understanding of biodiversity, conservation, and sustainability.
The Outback Queensland Education Experience Program, established by the Queensland Government in 2011, encourages schools and registered home schools to take their students to Outback Queensland and incorporate its rich history and heritage into learning.
Outback Queensland is a treasure trove of history, ancient landscapes, and vibrant culture. It offers students the chance to explore colourful characters, quirky events, and a variety of learning centres. These centres provide opportunities to delve into topics such as nature, astronomy, dinosaurs, and the lives of Outback pioneers.
